ABOUT

Ellen van Dokkum was born in Leusden, in the Netherlands, in 1983.

After finishing her study Communication Management she started working as an communication advisor and her biggest passion: painting. Painting is for Ellen a kind of expression of her feelings and look into the World. She wants to shine more colors into the World to create more happiness.

Her mission is to send out her art worldwide. Ellen wants to reach out to people in need for more happiness. To enable those people in need to dream for one second about another live; to forget the worries of that moment.

Ellen’s paintings provide colorful happiness, in particular in healthcare settings (e.g. hospitals, general practitioner clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and healthcare institutions).

"WHEN I AM PAINTING, IT FEELS LIKE I AM IN ANOTHER WORLD. I GET INTO A FLOW, FORGET THE TIME AND EVERYTHING SURROUNDING ME. THIS FEELING I WANT TO SHARE WITH OTHERS. TO LIVE IN THE MOMENT. TO ENJOY LIFE."

Ellen gets inspired by female faces and bodies, colorful expression in fashion, (street)art and design.
